Basketball hoops

I’ve noticed that almost every cul-de-sac that I have to drive my bus down, and around, has grown one of those basketball hoops!  They are probably illegal to be in the road like that, but I understand how families would think that a quiet cul-de-sac is the perfect location for a basketball hoop!  They do tend to be problematic for a school bus, however, as most cul-de-sacs are impossible to simply navigate without having to back up if there are objects in the cul-de-sac such as parked cars, garbage cans, or basketball hoops!

Every morning, as I try to get around the cul-de-sac without having to back-up, I find that I can easily do it in the cul-de-sacs that have no obstructions; but they are rare.  I have to wonder if the residents there get annoyed by the sound of my bus’s back-up beeper early in the morning as I back up in order to avoid hitting their basketball hoop!
