Well, the crazy weather of hot one hour and cold the next has caught up to me. I found myself driving a bus that was so hot I got quite sweaty, but when I got off the bus it was very cold and windy so I caught a cold. I don’t know how those people in Sweden go into their saunas and work up a sweat and then run outside and roll in the snow survive! I’d catch pneumonia for sure!
So I’m staying home all week to nurse this cold. I can’t drive a bus when I’m taking cold medicines, and I can’t drive a bus if I have to blow my nose every two minutes! Unfortunately for me, as a substitute school bus driver I don’t get any sick pay, so this is going to hurt my finances! I’m using Zicam, hoping to shorten my cold, but I’m not sure how quickly I can get back on the road.
