Well today the “in service workshop” was held at a local middle school in the forum room. All the bus drivers were required to attend. It ran from 10am-noon. This was the first time I’ve been in that school’s forum room, and the first time I’ve been to an “in service workshop” where all of the drivers were there at the same time. I was really surprised to see how many people were there! I always knew that there were a lot of drivers, but there must have been at least three hundred people there!
Thankfully the workshop was catered with a really nice breakfast. I had a lot of a really nice fruit salad, some scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash brown potatoes. I had brought my own Crystal Light to drink because I didn’t want to drink tea or coffee and didn’t know that they would have anything there to eat OR drink!
We met the new boss of our department at the workshop. She started work on April 1. I don’t know if I’m going to like her or not. She was introduced to us, but I haven’t even had the chance to say hello.
As for “learning anything” at the workshop, I’d have to say no, that I didn’t, but the food was good!
