Boys and their toys

My hubby loves his garden equipment.  He spends hours and hours sharpening the blades of his two zero turn mowers.  I think that he almost goes into a meditative state when he is working on his equipment!  He loves to mow the lawn and then go out into the woods and cut down trees.  One of the things that attracted him to this house was the large wooded back yard.  He said that he couldn’t wait to get out there and clear out the brush and the crooked trees.  His goal is to make it only perfectly straight trees.  I told him that I like the crooked trees; they have character!  Then he growls at me and tells me that it is hard to mow around crooked trees!

Well of course from time to time he tells me that he wants to buy some skid steer attachments to make his adventures in the woods more exciting – umm, I mean easier!  I just shake my head and roll my eyes.  I think that he has just about everything a guy could possibly want in the back shed, from a post hole digger to a mulcher to an air compressor.  Well, as “they” say “the difference between a man and a boy is the price of their toy.”
