Drove a Prius for the first time

This afternoon I was given a special ed “bus run” that involved driving a Prius hybrid to a city about 50 miles away from town to pick up two “special” children and bring them home. This was the first time I have even driven a Prius. At first when they gave me the key, I thought they had not given me a key, just a remote start. I didn’t realize that the car had a push button starter!

So I asked the dispatchers to send someone out to the parking lot and give me a quick “course” on the Prius. I drove that over 100 miles today, and for the most part I liked it – all except for the one time that I pulled out of the kids driveway to come home and the car simply stopped dead in its tracks. I sure was glad there wasn’t any traffic coming! I have no idea why it stalled out! I eventually got it started again, but I don’t know why that happened! So I’m nervous about ever having to drive it again!
