One of the things I always dreaded about working in the past was going through an annual evaluation by my boss. I find it embarrassing. I’m not used to people saying good things about me, it makes me nervous! I know that sounds strange, but it’s true! And I know that I’m doing as good a job as I can do, so if a boss tells me that I’m not doing a good job it would really make me angry because I know better than that!
So this year I was seeing signs all over the dispatch office, and getting a notice in the mail that we had to make appointments for our annual evaluations. Well, last year I didn’t get an evaluation, and I figured that it was maybe because I hadn’t worked there the entire school year then. This year I figured for sure that I would have to get an evaluation, so I sought out the lady who books the appointments and asked her if I needed an appointment. I was so happy when she told me “no, substitute drivers don’t get evaluated!”
So, for today, HOORAY for being a substitute!
