My younger brother makes his living troubleshooting and fixing computer problems. Whenever I have a problem with my computer that doing a virus check and defrag doesn’t fix I’m on the phone calling him for help! If he charged me for fixing my computers like he charges his clients I probably couldn’t afford him! It’s really great having a professional computer expert in the family. It’s also great because whenever he comes over to my house for a family dinner he usually gives my computer a “check up” while he is here to make sure it is working well. He’s a good brother!
Sometimes the problem has been hardware related and I’ve had to take my computer to his house and drop it off for a few days for him to work on it to replace something. Sometimes, though, it has been software related and he has been able to fix it using remote desktop software. I think that is really awesome when he does that. He has downloaded a software program in my computer that allows him to control my computer from his house! So sometimes when I have a problem with my computer not running right I give him a call and he just accesses my computer and checks it out and fixes it! I think that is so cool!
