I’ve noticed recently on one of my substitute bus runs, that I drive past a farm where the owners have hung a sign on the fence that is beside their driveway that they give roping lessons! Yes, I said roping lessons! Their field is full of long-horned cattle, so I have to assume that they mean roping cows! Now I would have to assume that the first dozen or so lessons would be tossing a rope around a stump, and not a living creature, but I have been fascinated with the thought of learning how to rope a cow! Just the visual image of me, with a lasso in hand, roping anything brings a smile to my face! Maybe I’ll put that on my “bucket list!”
