Yesterday afternoon I was asked to be on “stand-by” for the afternoon bus runs. I don’t usually get afternoon “stand-by” but that’s ok. It is a lot easier to do than a morning “stand-by!” Towards the end of the waiting time (I never DID get a run, so I was paid to just hang out) the dispatcher was giving me some assignments for next week. One of the assignments is for “the monster bus” that I had a couple of weeks ago where I ended up turning around and returning to school and insisting that one of the administrators ride the bus with us. The dispatcher asked me if I minded taking that run again and I said I’d be curious to see how the kids acted with me since the last time, and if they don’t mind if I turn the bus around again and return to school if they act up, then I don’t mind driving the bus! So, we shall see what happens!
