Sometimes modern technology doesn’t work the way it is supposed to

I’ve been hearing from my neighbor Marla that she has had to hire a durom lawyer to represent her son Tom in his durom lawsuit.  A couple of years ago he had a hip replacement surgery that was supposed to fix his bad hip, but the bones did not grow around the replacement cup the way they were supposed to.  I had not heard that there were any issues on zimmer durom cup hip replacements before, so I was quite surprised to hear of the problems that Tom has been having!

He has been having pain in his hip when walking and standing; things that weren’t supposed to be happening!  Apparently there have been several cases like this happening and there is a controversy over whether it is a design flaw, manufacturing flaw, or surgeon error.  Anyway you look at it though, some people are having problems with it and the whole mess is landing in court.
