I just don’t understand what is going on in the world today! What seems to be common sense to me just doesn’t seem to be “out there” anymore!
This morning my hubby and I went grocery shopping. As we were in the checkout lane, a woman in one of those courtesy electric scooters that the stores provide decided that she wanted to go around us to leave the store. There was an empty cart within inches of us that was in her way. Instead of asking us (or anyone) to please move the cart out of her way, she just rammed into the cart at full speed to get it out of her way. The cart rammed into another shopper, who appeared to be hurt. The lady who did the ramming did not even apologize; she just kept on “scooting along!”
A few minutes later my hubby and I saw that same lady who was in the scooter walking from the store to her car, without any apparent limp or extra effort on her part. Got us to wondering why she was using the scooter in the first place, was she REALLY disabled, or just lazy?
Kind of “gets my goat” when I observe folks like that.
