I was so embarrassed

The other day my extended family got together for dinner and we were talking about how my hubby wanted to go to West Virginia to buy some fireworks. He said that he had heard that he could buy some good ones there. My newest sister-in-law said “Don’t let me anywhere near West Virginia!” I stupidly said “why not.” She said that there is a racetrack and gambling casino there and that she has a gambling addiction!  I didn’t believe her at first, so I laughed and said “really?”  She started to blush, and softly said “yes.”  I was SO EMBARRASSED!
