Pins and needles

I have been a sub bus driver for two school years now. I liked having the flexibility of being able to take days off when I needed them without having to beg for them. But money for sub drivers is sporadic, and I need the regular paycheck, so I’ve asked to be put on as a “regular” and have my own bus run this year. Here it is, late July, and I don’t have a bus run assigned to me yet. School starts in less than a month and I’m getting nervous that they might not have a run for me! I guess I shouldn’t complain, as a sub I got lots of work. I guess I just want the security of KNOWING! Maybe I’m too much of a control freak! I try to take things as they come, but a little bit of stability would make my life easier!
