Yesterday afternoon I was walking around the house with my hubby and step daughter, showing her the crape myrtles that my hubby had planted last spring. We have three out in the back yard, but two right up against the shutters of the front of the house. They are in bloom and very pretty. I was surprised, though, that my hubby had planted them right in front of the windows. I like to keep the windows free from obstruction in case we need to use them for a fire escape!
