Local business links

With the ever expanding reach of the Internet, I think it is great that it is becoming easier to find local businesses without needing a paper copy of a community yellow pages telephone book.  I can remember when I was younger and I was considering moving to a different city I needed to contact the local chamber of commerce and the local telephone company to get information about the local businesses there.  But now, with just a few keystrokes and a click of the mouse I can find just about everything I need to know about businesses in almost any community – from Miami, FL to Pittsburgh, PA to Charlotte, NC to Anchorage, AK.

I just wish that there were more books available on line for free - there have been many times that I needed to do a research paper for college and had to physically find the book to check out from a library for the paper, and it would have been so much easier for me to access it online because I lived in a very remote location and had to drive long distances to get to the library!
