Restore

My hubby told me that he was going to go to Home Depot with Jim to buy some new insulation to put up in the attic. With winter approaching he wanted to put an extra layer down in the hopes of cutting our heat bill. I suggested that he go to a store I had recently heard about from a yahoo group that I belong to – the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store. They sell donated building supplies at deep discounts.

He resisted, saying that he thought it would be a waste of time, but Jim was agreeable to try it out. Well, they were gone for about four hours! I thought that they had gotten tangled up in a bad car accident, but when they finally returned the back of the pick-up truck was over-flowing with “goodies” that they bought at the store. Jim was so excited about the store he said he was going back again and that it was going to be his favorite building supply store!

I had wanted to go along, but now I guess I didn’t – I probably would have not wanted to stay as long as they did!
