I don’t get it

This morning I had to run into town for a doctor’s appointment. After the appointment I went to the local discount mart store to pick up some milk and a lightbulb (I needed a new CFL bulb for the bathroom.) I ran into one of my former co-workers – a bus driver I had been friendly with. I had not spoken to her since I got fired last October, so we took the chance meeting to talk about the experience. She was very disturbed to hear about how badly I had been treated, and unfairly fired. Then she told me that she had heard that one of the other bus drivers had a child on my bus at the time of the accident and that the driver had called my bus to insist that I be fired! Now I know I didn’t do anything wrong, but I just don’t get how a fellow bus driver that I had never even met could be so mean and spiteful! Now I want to find out the name of that driver so if I ever run into her socially I will know exactly who it is I am dealing with so I can watch my back!
