The kids pulled out a jigsaw puzzle four days ago because we lost electricity for much of the day. The power went out because it was such a windy day that it knocked some trees down over the power line. The power was out for about six hours; the longest it’s ever been out since we have lived here. I thought I was going to go crazy, not being able to vacuum or wash clothes. I ended up trying to take a nap, but it was impossible to do because I need some white noise to sleep, and without electricity there was no white noise.
But I was glad to see that my kids, after complaining for a short period of time, pulled out a jigsaw puzzle to work on. I thought for sure that when the electricity came back on that they would abandon the puzzle, but to my amazement, here it is four days later and they are still working on it every now and then!
