And I have to wonder about the inflated egos of people that DO think that they are that exciting! Every now and then I get an invitation from someone to follow them on Twitter and I have to wonder to myself “why does this person think I would want to follow them?” If I want to know what someone is up to I can call them on the phone. Do you use Twitter? Why or why not?

Have you ever had something that you own break down “intermittently”? That is one of the most aggravating problems to have, don’t you agree? There have been times when I owned a car that would have an “intermittent” problem that only failed when I was driving the car, but when I would take it in to the shop they would tell me that there was nothing wrong that they could find. Yet two or three days later the problem would be right there again! Sometimes I wondered if they did a quick and cheap “patch” job that would only hold for a short while just to get me out of their hair so they would not have to fix it the right way.

Most of the time the mechanics tell me to just keep driving the car until the problem becomes a “permanent” problem. Of course most of the time that never happened. But I think that this time, maybe, just maybe my current “intermittent” problem has become “permanent” and might be repairable. I just don’t know now if I can afford to fix it or not. Hopefully it is just a switch – to the rear window defroster in my car. I am not going to need it probably until next fall, but I will try to remember to get it fixed by then. Actually, if things go my way I’ll be trading that car in for a different vehicle in the next few months and then I won’t have to even worry about it in the fall!

One of the things that I don’t like about Facebook is that so many people that I like use it as a method to spread messages of hatred. And by that I really am not referring to the obvious bigotry and politics, but I’m talking about spreading gossip about their ex-spouse or ex-romantic interest. That tends to make the person that I really like the most to declare to everyone else out there that they are going to de-activate their Facebook account. And I think that is a real shame, because I really had hoped that Facebook would be used to bring people together, not alienate them. Sad that a few bad apples ruin the entire barrel, don’t you agree?

Just because we live in a small town in Tennessee, doesn’t mean I cannot keep up with things going on in the world. Anyone that knows me knows that I love to be on Facebook. I just know that the boy who invented it is such a genius. It is a tool that can be used for so many different things. The other day I was clicking around looking at all the channels that we have on television since we switched our cable television to www.direct.tv. I found a movie called The Social Network that is about how Facebook got started. I am sure that parts of it were fictional, but I liked seeing the thinking that went into getting such a huge project started that ended up changing so much in the world we live in today. The guy that actually started Facebook is named Mark Zuckerberg. I think that I would like to talk to that kid someday and pick his brain. But the guy that played him in the movie made him look like a weirdo. I saw there is another program coming on that looks more like a documentary called Mark Zuckerberg – Inside Facebook. I hope that Mark will be interviewed for that show. I kind of want to hear him talk.

Seeing the low rate of 3.95% being offered for people with excellent credit scores for their mortgages is the lowest number I’ve ever seen or heard of. With the market still in deep do do the good folks with excellent credit scores can really scoop up some sweet deals on houses and properties all across the country.

The Internet has become a very valuable tool to help people find the best mortgage rates as most of us know by now. The process of applying for a mortgage is a long and tricky one, I wish that I had had access to the Internet when I was shopping around, I would have known a lot more, knowledge is power and power = money and when it comes to a mortgage, no matter how low the interest rate, is a lot of money even if you have perfect credit scores to your advantage.

Thanks for the article from Isaiah Gaines

I am the oldest of four kids. We all have our unique qualities. My youngest brother is the artsy one. He is the person you can go to for any type of art and he is able to produce it quickly. One of my sisters is the smart one. I think she could win any kind of trivia game because she knows everything there is to know about anything. I have always been the technology one. I think it will forever be my place with my family. Everyone always comes to me with any and all technology questions. Sometimes it is questions about Microsoft Word, sometimes it is questions about direct tv vs cable and sometimes it is questions about operating a computer. I am always happy to help and I love my family, but the world is getting so advanced with technology that they might need to start learning some things. My mom can’t keep calling me every time she needs to turn on the computer or open a webpage. I keep hoping she will remember, but I keep getting calls about simple things.

Thanks for the guest post Michael Urbanek

Four years have passed since the car accident happened that ruined my life. I was on my way home from work when I was rear ended by a car whose driver was too busy talking on the phone to realize that the cars in front of her had stopped for a red traffic signal.

She rear-ended the vehicle in front of me, pushing that vehicle into the rear of my truck. At the time of impace I was in the process of changing the CD in the CD player, since I had already stopped for the traffic light. I was badly injured as a result of the accident, and we had to hire a lawyer to help us to recover the costs of the accident. I wish that we had been able to find a claim calculator on the Internet back then to help us figure out what type of award we might be able to expect from the accident. As it is we still have not yet settled from the accident, and I am thinking that we never will see any money from it.

Learning the hard way just doesn’t make sense, when I heard of this wonderful online shopping site I wanted to take just a bit of time and do a bit of homework before jumping in. So I read some nomorerack reviews about nomorerack.com and then decided to go ahead and take the plunge and see what I could find there that I just can’t live without and hoping for the best deal possible.

Facebook was a good resource when looking to see if this company that offers great Daily Deals is really on the up and up. Come to find out a few people that are my Facebook friends had used this website just recently for some of their Christmas shopping needs and all had good things to say about it. That was good to know, you just gotta love Facebook these days. I never knew how much I would rely and depend on all that Facebook has to offer these days. Kinda makes me wonder what they will come up with next.

Last summer I bought a digital voice recorder to record myself reading a script that I need to memorize. When not in use I was keeping it in my brief case. About a month ago I went to get it to use it and it was not where I always keep it. Well I have torn the house and briefcase and car apart looking for that durn thing and I cannot find it. I wonder if someone took it and neglected to tell me. I’ve asked everyone in the family if they have seen it, and the answer has been “no.”

So yesterday I broke down and bought a new one. This one cost about twice as much as the first one did; it has more bells and whistles. I don’t know how to use it yet; I am actually a little bit intimidated by it. Being technologically challenged is a sad thing to be in this day and age!

When I first bought my Subaru back in 1998 I had a remote starter put in it. I loved that remote starter! I used it every time I drove that car. I loved that fact that I could warm up the car in the winter without even leaving the house so that when I got into it the windows were already defrosted and the interior nice and toasty warm. And in the summer I could start the car up and let it cool off for a few minutes before climbing inside. Lately the remote starter has not been starting the car. This has happened before and I’ve taken the car back several times to where we got the remote starter installed to fix it. But we have moved about 800 miles away from that place and now I don’t know where to take it for repair! What a bother!
