I saw an interesting commercial the other night informing us that the Home Buyer Tax Credit has once again been extended. It seems that this offer has made a big difference in today’s seriously outrageous economic crisis. I have several friends that are in the real estate business and they are all saying that houses are really starting to sell and that this tax credit has been a blessing all the way around.
Looking for buying first home tax credit information is made so easy with the Internet. I ran across a site by Coldwell Banker that helped me understand the whole situation. With a short but interesting and informative video to take a gander at as well. If you take 3 minutes and 28 seconds and watch it as well I’ll bet you’ll learn a thing or two as well.
What I didn’t know is that this credit isn’t only for first time home owners, but is designed to assist homeowners who have lived in a current home consecutively for five of the past eight years as well. If so you can receive up to a $6,500 tax credit, that’s a nice chunk of change to get back from Good Old Uncle Sam!
One show that I never seem to tire of is the George Lopez show. It comes on late at night on one of the Nickelodeon Channels and stays on most of the early morning hours. It is a great show to watch, I always enjoy a good comedy and George Lopez usually provides me with plenty of chuckles!
Last night my sister and I went to a hafla party to celebrate the first day of spring! We got all dressed up in our newest, prettiest costumes, fussed over our makeup and hair and arrived fashionably ten minutes late. When we arrived, we discovered that no other guests had arrived yet. The party was scheduled to run from 8pm – 11pm, and we know that dozens of people were invited and said that they were coming! As it turns out, we were the ONLY guests to arrive at all – until 10:30! Although we enjoyed ourselves dancing and talking, and sharing choreographs we felt very badly for the hostess that no one else arrived! But I am glad for her sake that we came – it would have been terrible if NO ONE showed up at all!
Over the past several years I have had to take my husband to a lot of appointments. Doctors, hospitals, dentists. You name it, I’ve had to take him there. Of course I bring along something to read (or knit, or crochet) but sometimes I finish what I’m working on and I end up looking for something to do while waiting. If I could sleep sitting up, I certainly would do that! But since I can’t do that, I end up watching the Commercial DIRECT TV that most of them have in their waiting rooms.
I’ve noticed that DIRECT TV Business seems to be just about everywhere I go – even at the fast food restaurants! As long as I’m not sitting right underneath them, I’m usually glad that they have the DIRECT TV for Business turned on. I’m alone at most of those places, and it helps to take away the awkward sting of being alone in places like that. Of course if the place has free WiFi and electric outlets, that’s all good too! Then I can at least go online and blog! But not every place has that, so watching the news or the Today show is great, too.
It has been beautiful all week long, it has been such a wonderful change from this nasty winter that we have had to endure. It has been in the 60’s and I do believe that today we hit the 70 degree mark. Unfortunately nothing good lasts forever. The rains and the cold are making a come back just in time for the weekend, sigh………………
