]]> http://janicemanilow.com/2009/01/she-would-have-been-fired-if-he-hadnt-quit/feed/ 0 http://janicemanilow.com/2008/12/the-boss-quit/ http://janicemanilow.com/2008/12/the-boss-quit/#comments Tue, 16 Dec 2008 00:56:56 +0000 Janice http://janicemanilow.com/?p=18 I got a phone call tonight from one of my fellow bus drivers – one that I’m very friendly with.  She just wanted to chat, and I was happy to oblige.  We talked for about an hour on the phone, filling each other in on what was going on in our lives.  She told me that our boss had quit his job!  I hadn’t heard that; I was shocked!  I asked her why he had quit and she told him that it was because his boss had told him that he had to cut back on all of the driver’s paid hours, in order to trim the budget.  Our boss refused to do that, and said he’d quit instead.  So he quit!  I don’t know who is going to replace him, or when, but I will miss the guy, he was really nice!
